The Czech Foundation for Orienteering in co-operation with O-Sport magazine and the Park World Tour Association are preparing for the launch of an International Orienteering Support Fund the aim of which is first and foremost to support and assist orienteers who have suffered serious injury whilst practising their sport.

The first such support grant will be awarded to Cassie Trewin to help her in her further rehabilitation after incurring a serious injury in Graz in 2000. The international fund-raising for this particular support grant from the fund will start on Monday 15/12.

It is intended that such a support grant will be available to injured orienteers regardless of where in the world they live, and with a readiness on the part of the Foundation for Orienteering to initiate fund-raising for such new support grants at short notice.

The initiators would like to invite you to support this worthy project, either in the form of the willingness to lend your name to the list of prominent supporters, and/or in the form of a financial contribution as you consider appropriate.

We thank you in advance for your important support. December 12, 2003
